We stayed over at the very nice Old Farmhouse campsite outside Iringa, Tanzania and left the next morning for the border into Malawi.

We were pulled over for speeding as we were leaving Tanzania, just as when we had arrived… Guess we had forgotten the ititial lesson learnt!

They wanted us to pay them cash immediately, but Marc insisted that they first write out the official fine. After reminding Marc that “the clock is ticking”, they realised that they were not going to get what they wanted and let us go with a warning.

  1. I remember so well those white uniforms…..and the anxiety they stirred in me everytime they pulled me over…..ai, such paradox to the otherwise friendly swahili nation. Sadly many of these guys just abuse their position of authority terribly….
Loce reading about your trip.’TIA’ in your vocabulary will forever have a deeper meaning.Gotta love Africa. Stay safe.xxxx mungu akubariki sana.
